We Run freeseobot on Our Own Site: What It Found
freeseobot.com is a customer of its own product. What our checker found on our own site in the first week, the mistakes it made about us, and what we changed.

freeseobot.com went live on 15 October 2026. The same day, we connected it to freeseobot like any customer would: we added the one-line code, switched on autopilot, connected Google Search Console and started tracking our keywords.
We did this for one reason. If our checker gets something wrong, we would rather find out on our own site than on yours.
This page lists what happened in the first week, including the parts where the product was wrong about us.
Where we started
The first full check of freeseobot.com gave a score of 96 out of 100. Technical, on-page and content checks came back clean. The remaining points were in AI visibility: our business details did not yet link to social profiles, so AI assistants had less to confirm who we are.
A high score on day one is not a victory lap. Our site is new and small, and we built it knowing the checks. The useful part was everything else the check told us.
What we did on day one
- Verified the site with Google. We added the domain to Search Console and submitted the sitemap.
- Asked Google to index our key pages. We requested indexing for eight important pages through the URL Inspection tool.
- Told Bing about every page. We sent 39 addresses through IndexNow, which Bing and other search engines use to find new and changed pages quickly.
- Switched on autopilot. From now on, safe fixes such as a missing description are made by themselves after each weekly check.
- Started a weekly routine. Every Monday the site is checked again, problems are fixed, and two new guides are written and fact-checked against official documentation.
What our own checker got wrong about us
This is the part we learned most from. Running the product on our own site turned up five mistakes in the product itself. All of them affected customers too, and all are now fixed.
- It called our guide about 404 errors a "soft 404". A long article that mentions "page not found" many times looked like an error page. A page now needs to be short as well before we say that.
- It said our valid FAQ markup was missing details. It was not. That false alarm is gone from every report.
- It placed us in the city of our company address. freeseobot is an online tool used anywhere, so local advice made no sense. Online tools are no longer tied to a city.
- It decided we were a blog. We have more guides than tools, so the checker read freeseobot as a blog about SEO checkers and suggested we add a phone number people can tap. It now reads the site's own description first, so a tool with a big blog is still a tool.
- It picked the wrong main service. Our rank checker page has the most internal links, so it chose "free keyword rank checker" as our main search. Our home page says "SEO checker". What a site says about itself now comes first.
None of these would have shown up in a demo. They showed up because we used the product the way customers do, on a real site, every day.
What we would tell any site owner
- Check your own site the way a stranger would. We knew our site well, and our tool still found things to fix.
- Do the boring setup on day one. Search Console, a sitemap and an indexing request take minutes and help Google find a new site sooner.
- Let small fixes happen by themselves. Missing descriptions and image descriptions are easy to forget. Autopilot makes the safe ones every week.
- Write for the questions people ask. Our weekly guides answer one clear question each, backed by official sources, so search engines and AI assistants have something worth quoting.
What we will report next
We will update this page with what changes over the coming weeks: which pages Google indexes, the searches we start to show up for, and visits from AI assistants. We will not publish numbers until we have them.
Want the same for your site? Check it free, no account needed. On WordPress, the freeseobot plugin puts every fix into your real pages.
